On Wednesday, Stefanie Tompkins, director of the Defense Sciences Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, visited Northeastern’s Network Science Institute, home of the nation’s first doctoral program in network science. Tomkins spoke about the agency’s commitment to funding breakthrough technologies for national security, including tools for modeling complex networks and methods to better understand social dynamics.
