NETSI researcher Will Hobbs and collaborators link Facebook activity to living longer

Researcher Will Hobbs of the LazerLab and collaborators published an article "Online social integration is associated with reduced mortality risk" in PNAS. They suggest that Facebook use is associated with longer life, particularly if the time spent online is moderate and the user’s online activities reflect strong social interactions in the offline world. 

It has been featured in News@Northeastern, the LA Times, and the New York Times, among others.
