Farzaneh's interests in decision-making brought about her focus on data science. She has over seven years of experience in data-driven analytics, and has been involved with developing several algorithms and machine learning techniques for identifying key communities and critical components in complex networks. Her algorithms are general-purpose network analysis tools with potential applications in drug discovery, complex disease treatment, pandemic control, and vulnerability analysis, among others. Three of her algorithms are filed for patents by UMass Boston Intellectual Property. She graduated from UMass Boston and has joined CCNR as a postdoc to extend her expertise in network medicine.
