Nima Dehmami

Nima is a researcher at the Center for Complex Networks Research (CCNR). He earned his PhD in physics from Boston University under the supervision of Prof. Eugene Stanley in 2015 and did his Bachelor's at Sharif University of Technology, Iran. He is interested in modeling the brain and understanding networks that process information. He currently work on a minimal model for economic embedding of physical networks inside space. They are using this model to understand the organization of white matter (myelinated axon fibers in mammalian brains). He also works on understanding how artificial neural networks find and process information in data. In particular, he want to understand how hierarchies of features appear in deep neural networks and how it can be generalized information processing in general. He has worked on linear response in financial networks and modeling formation of spatial networks of stochastic interacting agents. Before that, he used to work on black hole thermodynamics and particles in curved space.
