Sara is a second-year Ph.D. student working with Professor Albert-László Barabási at CCNR and she is interested in the application of network science to the study of biological networks. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Pisa, and at the same time the Specialized 1st Cycle Diploma at Scuola Normale Superiore, where she attended advanced math and physics courses. She then graduated with a Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Pisa. Her Master's thesis project was carried out at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca under the joint supervision of Professor Caldarelli and Professor Tribastone; her work focused on the relation between structure and dynamics of biological systems, investigated with network analysis and model reduction methods.
