lab website

Sebastian F. Ruf is a postdoctoral researcher at both the Center for Complex Networks Research (CCNR) with Dr. Barabasi and the PEN lab with Dr. Whitfield-Gabrieli. Prior to coming to Northeastern, he received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as an M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He seeks to understand how control theoretic tools can be used to better understand and interact with complex system, currently focusing on the brain. His past work has focused on novel approaches to controlling dynamical systems which evolve over networks, modeling diffusive spread of products and understanding sustainability of socio-ecological systems.
