Ursula is a third-year PhD student working with Professor Albert-Laszlo Barabasi at CCNR. She is interested in biochemical networks pertaining to immunology and disease pathogenesis. Her current research involves analyzing the systems biology of autoimmune diseases and their disease mechanisms in the immune system and affected tissues. Ursula has a master’s in Computational Biology and Quantitative Genetics from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, where her thesis work involved analyzing gene regulatory networks of breast cancer subtypes with Dr. Heather Mattie. She completed her B.S. in Applied Mathematics at The College of New Jersey.
