Congratulations to Dr. Carolina Mattsson on the successful defense of her dissertation "Financial Transaction Networks Describe and Model Economic Systems". Carolina is the first doctorate recipient of the Network Science PhD program at Northeastern. Beginning in May 2020, Carolina will be joining Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) at Leiden University for a postdoc position in Network Science with Prof. Frank Takes. While there, she will contribute to projects involving economic networks, financial transaction data, and network science more generally.
