Jack X. Howard (he/him) is a PhD student at Northeastern University’s Network Science Institute, working with Professor David Lazer. His research examines how information infrastructures, social networks, and spatial contexts shape political behavior and democratic representation. He uses computational and mixed methods, including network analysis, text analysis, geospatial modeling, machine learning, and survey experiments. Before joining NetSI, he earned a B.S. in Political Science–Data Analytics from UC San Diego, where his research examined the electoral geography of higher education and the public legitimacy of urban data systems.
