Jacopo is an information designer and researcher working at the intersection of complex systems, the humanities, and urban science. He studied Philosophy and Art History at the University of Lausanne, with a minor in History and Aesthetics of Cinema and coursework in Ethics for New Technologies at EPFL, before earning an MFA in Information Design and Data Visualization at Northeastern University. He is currently a PhD student and Information Design Researcher at the Barabási Lab, and previously held a Co-Op as Information Design Specialist at MIT Senseable City Lab. His practice investigates how humanistic perspectives can artistically enrich scientific communication, organized around three conceptual categories — imagination, rationality, and mutation — and treats information design as a bearer of truth and political significance in the search for a bioinclusive, environmentally grounded imagination.
