Graduated in Economics, with an MBA in Finance and a PhD in Economics and Innovation, she is Professor of Economics and Innovation Management at the University of Turin. Her research spans topics related to the impact of new technologies on business models and organizational transformation. She directs the HighEst Lab network of AI laboratories, is co-founder of Deeplomacy, a startup focused on monitoring and forecasting conflict and violence, and founding entrepreneurship advisor of EurX.AI, the first European accelerator dedicated to transforming research into societal impact and business value.
She previously served as Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitalization of the Italian Republic and later as Advisor for New Technologies to the Draghi Government. At the local level, she was Councillor for Innovation and Smart City for the City of Turin.
Alongside her academic and institutional roles, she has developed extensive private-sector experience, working as a consultant on technological, organizational, and strategic transformation across multiple industries, including banking, pharmaceuticals, publishing, and fashion.
