Peiwen Liu (he/him) is a PhD student in Network Science at Northeastern University, advised by Dr. Alessandro Vespignani. His research focuses on epidemic modeling, complex systems, and the dynamics of contagion processes, with an emphasis on informing public health decision-making. He is particularly interested in developing computational and statistical approaches to understand how diseases spread through populations and how interventions can mitigate their impact.

Peiwen holds a B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Oregon State University and the University of California, Davis, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
