Global Worker Dialogue (GWD) is social enterprise focused on placing credible worker data at the center of efforts to build responsible and sustainable global value chains. It does this by building direct, trusted, and independent Channels of Communication with workers through frequent dialogue in a safe place, away from the influence of factory management and other powerful stakeholders. GWD aims to serve a market of corporations, investors, and government regulators who need credible data on the conditions of workers in global supply chains. This is especially the case in the EU, where new regulations require corporations to report on any materials risks to workers in their supply chains beginning in 2025, based on 2024 data.

About the speaker
Guy Stuart, Visiting Fellow at NetSI and Executive Director of GWD, will present a practice "pitch" that makes the case for GWD as a financially viable social enterprise. Attendees will learn something about how GWD does its work, the current state of regulations related to workers in global supply chains, and what it takes to pitch a social enterprise to potential investors. The pitch will last 15 minutes and Guy would welcome a short Q&A session afterwards.
