Talk recording
In this talk I will discuss various aspects of massive scale distributed collaboration as reflected in Reddit r/place experiment. I will present the reddit experiment as a competition (a war on "real estate" by different identity groups) , the various data types (texts, networks, activity) with all their richness and the complex social dynamics that shaped the surprising final result. I will focus on a number of examples (battle grounds) then outline a number of exciting directions for future research.
