Over the past half decade, researchers in various parts of campus have developed a robust ecosystem of science and technology for studying mis- and disinformation. In this panel-style meet-n-greet, six faculty, postdocs, and research scientists will share their work and future directions. The purpose of this session is to build connections between mis- and disinformation researchers on campus to foster intellectual conversation, collaboration, and resource-sharing

On behalf of the AccelNet-MultiNet collective, we are pleased to announce the 2022 AccelNet Collabathon! A “collabathon” (combination of “collaboration” and “hackathon”) is a multi-day event where researchers come together to build software and form collaborations around one core idea. The idea of a Collabathon is inspired by large-scale collaborations in fields like cosmology and physics, where hundreds of researchers work together to discover and analyze a new fundamental phenomenon (e.g. recently, the discovery of gravity waves).

CCEGN-5 explores topics at the interface between network science, random graphs, and statistical physics, bringing together world-renowned experts in these areas.

This roundtable will feature leading researchers on misinformation regarding COVID-19, as well as remarks from our special guest, the US Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy. It is part of the Combating Misinformation speaker series, and is cosponsored by Northeastern’s NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks and Network Science Institute, the COVID States Project, the Social Science Research Council, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Digital Public Library of America.

Please join us for the sixth annual "Speed Data-ing” research collaboration event, co-hosted with the NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks. Speed Data-ing brings together potential collaborators to discuss a range of digital humanities and computational social science research questions, methodologies, and data sets.

Networks 2021: A Joint Sunbelt and NetSci Conference will be an all-virtual event. Preconference satellites and workshops will be taking place on June 21-July 2, and the main conference will run from July 5-10, 2021. It will be the first combined meeting of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (Sunbelt XLI), and the Network Science Society (NetSci 2021).
