This roundtable will feature leading researchers on misinformation regarding COVID-19, as well as remarks from our special guest, the US Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy. It is part of the Combating Misinformation speaker series, and is cosponsored by Northeastern’s NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks and Network Science Institute, the COVID States Project, the Social Science Research Council, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Digital Public Library of America.

Please join us for the sixth annual "Speed Data-ing” research collaboration event, co-hosted with the NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks. Speed Data-ing brings together potential collaborators to discuss a range of digital humanities and computational social science research questions, methodologies, and data sets.

Networks 2021: A Joint Sunbelt and NetSci Conference will be an all-virtual event. Preconference satellites and workshops will be taking place on June 21-July 2, and the main conference will run from July 5-10, 2021. It will be the first combined meeting of the International Network for Social Network Analysis (Sunbelt XLI), and the Network Science Society (NetSci 2021).

On July 2nd, 10–12 EST, as part of the Networks 2021 conference, a joint Sunbelt and NetSci Conference, Nature editors Mary Elizabeth Sutherland and Federico Levi will host a round table on Computational Social Science.

The satellite is being hosted by our AccelNet-MultiNet team. AccelNet-MultiNet program is an NSF-supported effort, led jointly by the Network Science Institutes of Northeastern University (NetSI) and Indiana University (IUNI), to expand international collaborations centered around the exploration of multilayer network science.

Satellite at Networks2021 organized by WiNS - society fostering opportunities for the education, employment, and career advancement of women and non-binary researchers in Network Science.

The Networked Justice satellite will provide a forum for network scientists to convene and discuss the ways that networks intersect with issues of social equity, inclusivity, and justice, and how networks can be used to promote just outcomes for marginalized populations.

Hosted by NULab for Texts, Maps, and Networks, the panel will feature: David Lazer (Northeastern University), Andrea Parker (Georgia Institute of Technology), Jacqueline Wernimont (Dartmouth College), and Alessandro Vespignani (Northeastern University) speaking about their multidisciplinary research into COVID-19 and its impacts.
